Hybrid Systems
Thermodynamics is approached from a control-oriented perspective and applied to the coordination of large formations of aerospace vehicles.
This research area is presently investigated at
Georgia Tech .
Coordinated Vehicles
Analytical methods to find fuel optimal trajectories for large formations of 6DOF spacecraft flying in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
This research area was initiated at Virginia Tech and is presently investigated at
Georgia Tech.
Remote Sensing
Dynamics and control of spaceborne platforms for remote sensing aimed at supporting
civilian and military activities. Higher emphasis has been put on Internferometric Synthetic Aperture
Radar (InSAR) technology.
This research area has been tackled at the
Italian Space Agency (ASI)
and at Co.Ri.S.T.A.
(Consortium of Research for Advanced Remote Sensing Systems).
Space Systems Concurrent Design
The concurrent design technique has been widely investigated for phase 0 and A design of space systems design.
This research area has been explored at the
Italian Space Agency (ASI)
with direct experience on
ESA Concurrent Design Facility (ESA CDF)
software package.
