Biography

Alma was born in 1985 in Bihac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She obtained her electrical engineer degree from the University of Bihac, Faculty of Technical Science.

Alma Oracevic received the Ph.D. degree in University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, in February 2016 under the supervision of Pr. Dr. Mladen Kos (University of Zagreb, Croatia) and Pr. Dr. Suat Ozdemir (Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey). The title of her Ph.D thesis was "Secure and Reliable Object Tracking in Wireless Sensor Networks".

During her Ph.D she was focused in secure and reliable target tracking in wireless sensor networks and part of the research conducted in KAVEM laboratory, in Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey.

In December 2016, she received Fulbright award for postdoctoral research at Georgia Tech University.

Currently, she is a Postdoctoral in the Broadband Wireless Networking Lab under the supervision of Pr. Dr. Ian F. Akyildiz at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Her current research is focused on the 5G networks.
