1 http://www.makezine.com MAKE magazine, the best periodical publication on the market today. Deals with DIY projects of all sorts, shapes, and sizes, from robotics to DNA replication. Because owning something exactly the same as what the person next to you has is boring. Because I like making things, and 'made in China' just doesn't cut it. Because, when push comes to shove, and you are no longer able to depend on everyone else for everything you use in your life, what will you do?
2 http://www.NaNoWriMo.org Write a 50k word novel in a Month, in order to defeat your inner editor and get something down on paper that you can work with. For all those 'one day' writers, as in "One day I'd like to write a novel." Get-er-done! Because I like trying new things, and writing a novel was something I'd never tried. Because I like reading, I might as well try writing that book I want to read. Because I get 3 points of extra credit for my English class. Because I can.
3 http://www.HirstArts.com Manufacturer of rubber molds, from which can be cast building blocks to build scale models of all sorts of things. I like making things. This site sells rubber molds I've used in many an architectural scale model, are used by many for wargaming terrain and other items such as business card holders. I'm a big fan of Bruce Hirst's stuff, I own about 15 molds, and have built all sorts of things using them.
4 http://rinkworks.com/funny/ How to be funny. A good number of people need to read this page, since it deals with a very basic concept most have not mastered. Funny is good. Without humor, we'd all be dead. Thus, if you find yourself chronically unfunny, read the page. All of it. Its a fun read, and shouldn't take you too long.
