Over the course of the semester, it is mandatory for all graduating seniors to complete a group project focusing on how to save money for a marketing company. We have to thoroughly research this topic and choose an existing process in circulation. Once we choose the current process we must analysis its use and present a detailed presentation to the rest of the class. Through our preliminary research, my group decided the best way to save money for a company is to implement a process that specifically focuses on evaluating money flow. Then it is easier to determine where the least profitable returns exist. And, finally, these defects in the money flow can be eliminated. My group worked long and diligent hours researching until we found a current process many companies use to achieve this very goal. These companies are using a set of practices to systematically eliminate spending on unproductive areas because of defects. The professional name for this process is called six sigma. This process identifies fruitless areas of a company through the use of statistical analysis. It has existed in the business world for about twenty years now. It has proven to be quite efficient in producing results. Employees of the company can easily learn about this process and receive certification if they enroll in six sigma online. Here each employee will receive extensive information on how to limit inadequate and useless spending. For our project, we need to produce evidence that this method improves fiscal management and enables the company to achieve growth. It will require money for employees to learn this new process, but our research shows it will save money in the end. Certain members of the company need to reach higher levels of certification than others. For example, everyone should at least reach the level of a six sigma green belt. It is a basic level which enables the employee to readily use the process. Management, however, should reach the level of a six sigma black belt. This way, when necessary, a manager can assist in further using this process because he or she will have a great understanding of the philosophy behind the process. This is the element of this process which allows it to be so effective. It is structured in a disciplined manner. Anyway, our presentation is scheduled for next Tuesday and my group is expecting to do very well. We still have to finish some finer details on our report, but it is coming together nicely.
