(Q):  What happens when three graduate students procrastinate away from their real research for six weeks?  (A):  The Teetering Buffalo.

This webpage details the design and construction of a homemade Segway, in fact it's a remote control Segway, a self balancing robot affectionately named the Teetering Buffalo.  (Named after the native operating system of the Motorola 68HC11 microcontroller used for this project).  The project was essentially completed in 8 weeks.

The builders are graduate students at the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech.
