Audi R8R

Audi has decided to race at Le Mans. The chassis has been designed by Tony Southgate. The cars have been built by Dallera. Two cars will be campaigned by Joest Racing and two cars will be campainged by AudiSport U.K.. The cars will be powered by Audi's V-8. The engine will be a 3.9 litre dual turbo powerplant.
Two Audi R8Rs made an appearence at the 1999 12 hours of Sebring. The cars were out powered by 2 of BMW's entries and a Riley and Scott powered Judd. Inspite of there lack of power the cars finished 3rd and 5th in the 12 hour classic. No a bad start.
