Biography

Manoj was born at Coimbatore, India. He obtained his Bachelor Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore.

He did his masters in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur with Signal Processing, Communications and Networks as specialization. His thesis was “Optimal Joint Source Channel Decoding for Multihop Wireless Sensor Networks” under the supervision of Dr. Aditya K. Jagannatham.

After his masters, he worked as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft India R&D Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore from July 2013 to July 2015.

Currently, he is a PhD student with the Broadband Wireless Networking Lab at Georgia Institute of Technology, under the supervision of Dr. Ian F. Akyildiz. His current research is on 5G cellular networks.
