I'm Rebekah.
I am a girl, and typically the only girl in the room -- I go to Georgia Tech. I am a biomedical engineer graduating in spring 2010. I hope to either go into medical device design or FDA regulatory affairs. I also think intellectual property/patent law is interesting, but I'm not quite up for law school.
My Life
I love being a student at Georgia Tech. Its incredibly demanding. Sometimes the tests make you cry. There, I can be a geek and be in the higher range of normal. I love sharing my little apartment in the city with my boyfriend (Josh) and my pet rat (Roscoe). Josh is a CS major at Georgia Tech. We both hate doing laundry and have trouble going to sleep at decent hours. It's home.
Introduction to Neuroscience
I am currently taking Neuroscience (4000-level class) and I find it really interesting. In research, I have processed data taken from rat brain cells and used it to direct the motion of a robot. I've done a couple youtube videos, one is on an experiment to see if peppermint oil can help your balance. The other is on a paper I reviewed on akinetopsia (motion blindness). I did that while writing a wikipedia article on the same topic. And yes, I'm considered quite normal at Georgia Tech.
