SUNGJIN CHO

Sungjin is currently a Electrical and Computer Engineering Ph.D. student studying under the advisement of Dr. Fumin Zhang at Georgia Tech Systems Research (GTSR). Sungjin Cho received his B.Sc. in control and instrumentation engineering from Korea University in Sejeong, South Korea, while winning a Korea University President’s full scholarship, the Anam Scholarship . He earned an M.S. in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Korea University in Seoul while winning a full national defense and science institution scholarship from the Agency for Defense Development. For ten years, he has developed guidance, control, and estimation algorithms for both unmanned aerial and underwater vehicles at the Agency for Defense Development. Selected as the 45th training recipient for foreign Ph.D. graduate study since the Agency for Defense Development was established in 1970, Cho currently studies cooperative localization and optimal flow-map decision making for the motion tomography of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) at Georgia Tech.
