My name is Tiffany Chen and I am a sixth year PhD student in the Robotics program at Georgia Tech. I am a member of the Healthcare Robotics Lab directed by Dr. Charles C. Kemp. My "home department" is the Biomedical Engineering department at Tech, and in my current work, I still draw from my experiences as a BME student at Johns Hopkins University where I attained my BS and MSE degrees.
Here, we develop robotic systems to assist the motor impaired, older adults, and nurses. Also, I focus on human-robot interaction where I test our robotic systems with end-users through formal experimentation. What excites me about this field is being able to bring robotics to bear on some of the most challenging issues in healthcare today. Plus, robots are just cool. Check out my CV to view my work.
