synopsis: An assassin finds herself becoming attached to her latest assignment, and ends up protecting them from more assassins.

impressions: It was okay. There was a lot of fighting and quasi-magical tricks, but the plot was thin in places. I suspect that Daredevil was required viewing to understand the character of Elektra, and her powers. Whatever. A movie with multiple ninja battles, a gigantic unstoppable hulk, a woman whose touch kills/decays things, and a guy who can summon animals from his tattoos can't be all bad.

something this movie has that no other movie has: A guy who can summon different animals using his mystical tattoos.

acting: Jennifer Garner looks (and fights) good in red. Terence Stamp is her blind mentor. Goran Visnjic is the father who Elektra ends up protecting, while Kirsten Prout is the pouty, defiant daughter who has a secret. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa continues his trend of playing head bad guys, though he actually lives through this movie.

final word: Good action held together by medoicre/incomplete drama.
