Europe tour
This old dog is once again doing something a little bit crazy and stupid(because I am young, right?). I finished paying off that loan a week ago for the trip I took in June to see my parents back in the UK. Now that I have finished paying it off I have decided to make another go at it. I managed to keep enough of it from my rather uneventful trip the last time and now I will be jumping right back in to the frying pan. The next cheap loan has already been spent entirely, since I didn’t do it right the first time, and I will be carrying cash with me the whole time. I will be doing a great Europe tour. I have never really seen all of southern Europe so I want to do that now before I can’t backpack it anymore.
The little loan I had has just about got me covered for everything except drinks and conversation. I have nights set up at hotels, motels, and villas all across Europe and I will be spending the next two weeks out there since I have now finished the second summer session. With cheap airfare and petty cash in my pocket, I want to try and cram in as much of a European experience as possible. I know it seems like a lot to do in a very short period of time but I am no idiot. I have planned my trip quit carefully to make sure that I have good balance of time spent walking and time spent drinking. I am a bit of a wino when it comes to European drink. I know that when I hit that wine country in the north of Italy and I find myself in that hotel alone, I will want nothing more than to go out and find some fun in one of the bars. Plus, Europeans are really keen on helping people like myself, the savvy young college student types who are from the area but really just tourists the same. I am sure that the whole of Europe will welcome me with open arms when they see me coming off that airplane.
Now I have just a little over forty hours until my flight leaves, my bags are packed, and I am ready to go. I can’t think of any loose ends left to tie up and so I am prepared to just jump in to the deep end and find something interesting while I am in there.
