First Week of the Semester
So anyone who had fun this week please raise your hand. OK, I see one or two out there and the rest of you are already nodding off in class. Wake up people we have been here for a week already and we’re starting to slack off. Hopefully that is not just me and everyone is sort of feeling that same drudging feeling already as well. I mean I don;t wish it on any of you but it is there right? What I am really trying to say here people is that we are really back despite the way everyone seems to be acting and we had better just start enjoying ourselves because we don;t have much to gain by being down in the dumps for another fourteen weeks.
I urge every single one of you to join me this weekend in not only celebrating our freedom to choose to be in school every day, and the loss of the time we could be out partying. I will personally be sitting with my friends in our front row seats at the football game. IF you don’t have any, you had better find your tickets soon because I hear that everyone is trying to go to this game as well since it is the first one of the year. I am sure there will be a ticket scalper out there to meet everyone’s needs but if not then maybe you can try to sneak in. I didn’t say that if you get caught though because it rarely ever works. I just recommend that you do try to make it out and join in the spirit, because when the weather turns and we’re all bundled up or trapped in a snow storm, you’ll need those friendships built during football games to make sure you are not the one being eaten when we run out of food. Just Kidding.
Saturday night I will also be trying my best to unwind since traditionally sunday is the time for self-loathing and homework, which hare basically the same thing. A bunch of friends and I are probably going to be going camping so if you are staying in town, please have fun and be safe because it isn’t good to be expelled after the first week of class. I think that if you are even thinking about doing anything that might get you in to some kind of trouble;e this weekend, just take a look at your tuition bill and I am sure you will suck it up and do something responsible instead.
