My daily wine tours

IF you’ve been keeping up with my posts then you will certainly expect that I am here in Italy right now. I have been staying in Florence for a couple of days now just enjoying the daily wine tours and the weather. I think that if there is anywhere I would love to live in the entire world it would be here. The only problem that I see with that is that the economy of the area might not need one more American college graduate with a liberal arts degree for anything but working as a field hand.

The trip so far has been amazing. I have been out of the country for less than a week now and I just can’t imagine myself going back on Sunday and being totally ready for class the next day. I have been to France, Italy, Austria, and Greece for one day. Every place I have gone has just been amazing. The only problem that has been consistently popping up is the fact that I don’t have any kind of a savings account. I tried to work as much as I could before I left in order to have food and drink money, but I have fallen full force on to the downy pillows of my credit cards. I have three and I am really lucky that I have kept them up so I have a total of about six thousand dollars of credit across the American Express, Visa, and the MasterCard. I also have a debit card but as I said, I have no savings so I would be putting myself in to a really bad spot if I charged on that card at all. Though I have been building up a good bit of debt for the fall, I will be coming back to a good bit of points on my reward programs. Also, if I manage to pay off all of this trip without missing a payment then I should come out with a much better credit score than I have right now.

Anyway, besides all of the financial burdens I have been taking on as a result of this amazing journey, it has been the best trip of my life. I feel like I could just disappear over here and never come back. The feeling of just being at home with myself as a free human being is something that I don’t know if you can understand unless you’ve felt it for yourself. I hope to write once again before I leave but for now my minutes are just about up and I have to get back. Salute!
