I am an incoming Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, advised by Dr. C. Karen Liu. I just received my M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, during which I started working with my advisor. Prior to attending graduate school, I got my Bachelor's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where I was a member of the University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute. My research interests are computer animation and physics simulation for robotics applications, and how statistical techniques can help in these domains. I am also generally interested in numerical optimizations, and human cognitive and motor learning. Feel free to get in touch with me via yjiang340 at gatech dot edu.

Miscellaneous and Resources

I am fan of classical music. Here is an introductory list where I picked some most well-known pieces. My favorite musician is Tchaikovsky.

I am also interested in psychology. Psychology and Life (Chinese Edition Here) is one of the best introductory books. I also enjoyed a lot watching Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar's open course on Positive Psychology (Chinese Translations Here).

My favorite books are Gone with the Wind and The Three-Body Problem.
